Tourism promotion of the Mexican state of Guanajuato in Texas and California
Officials showcase Guanajuato’s unmatched attributes to spark tourism interest and strengthen U.S. investment and business ties

LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, USA, September 24, 2021 /EINPresswire.com/ – As part of the 27th anniversary celebration of Casa Guanajuato in Dallas, officials from the State of Guanajuato made a working tour of the Texas and California to promote and strengthen Guanajuato’s positioning as a premier international destination. This joint effort of the Ministry of Tourism of the State of Guanajuato, the Secretary for Migrants and International Liaison and the Coordinator for the Promotion of Foreign Trade aims to diversify and strengthen the knowledge of the State of Guanajuato with the aim of constantly seek out new promotional options and choose carefully which markets to develop. “We encourage the search for opportunities and the strengthening of business ties that benefit the tourism sector,” he said.

For Guanajuato’s secretary of tourism, Juan José Álvarez Brunel, it is a meeting with oil entrepreneurs, Hispanic leaders, hoteliers, ambassadors and chambers of commerce, as well as with representations of destinations. As part of the working tour, the Guanajuato State Ministry of Tourism met with the media. In addition to promoting migrant tourism, it has supported key tourism segments such as culture, gastronomy, meetings and conventions, oenology and distillates, wellness, romance and nature. Secretary Álvarez Brunel underlined the extraordinary range of tourist attractions and the abundant resources of the region which represent an opportunity to generate jobs and economic development.
In addition, the Guanajuato Ministry of Tourism has placed special emphasis on the State Safe Travel Seal awarded by the WTTC (World Travel and Tourism Council). Guanajuato is the first destination without a beach to earn this seal for having adopted adequate sanitary protocols.
The main objective of the working tour and promotion is to inspire more people, especially Mexicans living in the United States, to travel to Guanajuato, a jewel of the Viceroyalty; a Mexican state with an incomparable cultural richness, an internationally recognized gastronomy and with the warmth of service providers ready to receive travelers from Dallas and Los Angeles.
