Ukrainian and Guatemalan foreign ministers discuss cooperation in trade, tourism and education

Foreign Minister of Ukraine Dmytro Kuleba and Foreign Minister of the Republic of Guatemala Mario Adolfo Bucaro Flores discussed cooperation in trade, tourism and education, Ukrinform reports, referring to the press service of the Ukrainian ministry.

“Ukraine and Guatemala are united by strong political ties. We appreciate Guatemala’s support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our State, as well as the active cooperation in international organizations. It is time to open a new page of bilateral relations to bring cooperation in trade, investment, tourism and education to a new level,” Kuleba said. noted.

He thanked Flores for his initiative to hold a telephone conversation on the second day after his appointment as Foreign Minister of Guatemala to show his solidarity with Ukraine in the face of aggressive Russian actions.

The Ukrainian Foreign Minister briefed his Guatemalan counterpart in detail on the security situation near the Ukrainian state borders, the efforts of Ukraine and its partners to defuse tensions and keep Russia in a constructive diplomatic dialogue.

In this context, the interlocutors discussed measures to further strengthen support for Ukraine in the Latin American region.

Additionally, Kuleba and Flores paid special attention to increasing trade.

The Minister also exchanged invitations to make reciprocal visits at a time convenient to them.
