SIB statisticians noted that the top three countries with visitors to Belize are the United States, Guatemala and Canada, in that order.
The 2019 numbers are 282,000 cruise ship passengers and 120,000 overnight visitors, respectively, with the 2021 numbers representing healthy chunks of those near-absolute numbers.
The SIB said it expects further growth with the reopening of land borders and greater volume of air travel.
