By Benjamin Flowers: The Belize Tourism Board honored Dr. Natalia Beer, Maternal and Child Health Unit of the Ministry of Health and Welfare, with a frontline worker award for playing a vital role in the national response to the COVID-19.

“The BTB congratulates Dr. Beer on her recognition as our frontline hero and thanks her for her unwavering commitment to service to Belize,” the BTB said.

Tourism and Diaspora Relations Minister Anthony Mahler personally presented the award to Dr Beer last week, thanking her for her service at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

The BTB also offered Dr. Beer a two-night stay for two at the San Ignacio Resort Hotel.

By accepting the award, Dr Beer said it motivated her to continue contributing to the national fight against COVID-19.

Notably, Dr. Beer was chosen as Woman of the Year 2021 by Breaking Belize News, in recognition of her invaluable service to Belize and the country battling the pandemic.
